I find it very rewarding when I can look at a list of all that I need to accomplish and watch as I cross everything off. It’s like I don’t realize how much I actually have to do until I see it all bunched together. Every night make yourself a to-do list for the next day. When making this list take into account the priority level of the task as well as the projected time it will take to complete it. At the end of the day when you see all of your tasks crossed off you will feel very satisfied with your productivity.

Just like the doctors would give you a lollipop after getting a shot as a child, promise yourself a reward after completing your task. It may seem silly, but knowing you will get to go to the movies or go get ice cream may be the driving force you need to stay motivated. Remember to follow through with your reward as promised to build trust with yourself.

Unless the task at hand is actually cleaning your home, I would suggest doing a quick de-cluttering of your mind and your surroundings before you start anything. Hypnosis for procrastination can help to clear the clutter from your mind so you focus much easily when needed. Minimize distractions by keeping your phones and computers in the other room if possible. This way you can’t surf the web, or check your messages, etc. Remove all distractions to help you stay focused to do what you need to do.
